November 08. Newcastle sign Sodexo in big-money deal
Sodexo Prestige, the UK's leading specialist provider of catering, event and corporate hospitality services, has today announced the signing of a multi-million pound deal with Premiership giant Newcastle United Football Club.
As part of a five-year deal, worth approximately £38 million in total turnover, Sodexo Prestige will provide public catering for up to 52,000 fans and manage the single largest conference and banqueting facility in the North East.
This December alone, the number of Christmas party guests celebrating the festive season at St. James’ Park will reach 20,000. Sodexo Prestige will employ over 1,100 employees at the club’s catering, event and sales departments.
Sodexo Prestige has extensive experience of providing catering services, boasting Ascot Racecourse, Everton FC and Hampden Park in its already impressive portfolio.
