Meetings, conferences and events at Weston Link, Edinburgh

The Weston Link houses a restaurant and café, an extensive gallery shop as well as a multimedia IT gallery, dedicated education rooms and the luxurious 200-seat Hawthornden Lecture Theatre and cinema, all accessible from Princes Street Gardens. Individual rooms or the entire Mound Complex are available for exclusive hire.

Hawthornden Lecture Theatre

The Lecture Theatre is a flexible and adaptable space with tiered seating for up to 200. Full AV support is available from our in-house staff. This comfortable auditorium provides a superb setting for conferences and meetings within artistic surroundings combined with state-of-the-art technology.

IT Gallery

The Lecture Theatre is reached via the multimedia IT Gallery, which provides a spacious contemporary setting for dinners for up to 80 guests and receptions for up to 200. Wall mounted plasma screens can be personalised with your own corporate message. This is a flexible space providing the perfect blank canvas for your event.

Whole Mound Complex

By exclusively hiring the whole Mound Complex (i.e. National Gallery of Scotland, Royal Scottish Academy Building and Weston Link) over 1,000 guests can be accommodated for large-scale cocktail receptions. The possibilities are endless: an evening could include a private view of exhibitions in both the National Gallery of Scotland and the Royal Scottish Academy Building, with talks or guided tours by expert curators; film screenings; information or showreels broadcast across the Weston Link on the plasma screen system; plus drinks, canapés and entertainment throughout. This is simply the only space in Edinburgh that can boast such a prime location and generous capacity.
