Prestige recognised at Cost Sector Catering Awards

Sodexho was shortlisted for a number of awards: Sodexho’s executive development chef, David Hunt was up for the Chef Award; Sodexho Prestige was nominated for the Event Catering Award and Prestige Scotland was amongst the shortlist for the Stadia Award.

However, it was Sodexho Prestige who found themselves victorious at the 13th annual awards event, winning the Marketing Award thanks to the launch of its events and venues website at www.prestigeexperience.co.uk.

The website was launched following Sodexho Prestige’s research revealing that 93% of event managers are more interested in organising an event at a unique and prestigious venue, and 88% of guests are more likely to attend an event at an unusual venue.

Sodexho Prestige launched the website, showcasing its portfolio of prestigious venues, at trade shows last year and the result has been phenomenal. After just three months, Sodexho Prestige had seen its return on investment increase to 55%; the website attracted more than 25,000 visitors a month; and the business booked over a quarter of a million pounds of new business.

Talking of the award, marketing support manager for Sodexho Prestige, Anna Fenten comments: “This is the first industry recognition Sodexho Prestige has enjoyed for its sales and marketing capabilities. We’re extremely pleased with the success and would like to thank everyone involved.”

Blenheim Palace wins Silver Award

The historic Palace has earned the Silver Award for Live Event Venue of the Year at the 2006 Event Awards.

The awards, held at Grosvenor House on 22nd September, are in their ninth year and firmly established as one of the industry's most prestigious accolades.

Jane Lee , Director of Sales at Blenheim Palace says, "By winning the Silver Award for Live Event Venue of the Year, Blenheim Palace has lived up to its successful reputation as an exceptional environment to stage live events."

Prestige Hailed at MIMA Awards

Sodexho Prestige came out on top at the Meetings Industry Marketing Awards in London on 2nd October having won four awards.

The event, organised by the top industry publication Meetings and Incentive Travel Magazine, marked National Meetings Week.  It attracted more than 100 entries, battling for the ten award categories.

Prestige were short listed for four out of the ten awards and did particularly well, winning the Silver Award for Best Print Advertising Campaign for work relating to Ascot Hospitality.  Ascot also earned the Silver Award for The Best Use of Budget Award.

In addition to this, the recently produced Knebworth House brochure won Silver in The Best Brochure category.  On winning the award, Martha Lytton Cobbold of Knebworth House commented,
"We are delighted this brochure has won such a prestigious award. The brochure demonstrates that Knebworth is a versatile, inspirational and practical venue for meetings, conferences, product launches and activity days. The results have been tremendous. In the first six months since the new style and brochure launched, our corporate database has grown by 26%. Knebworth is clearly one of the top corporate destinations for corporate events and activities."

However, despite this huge success, the jewel in the crown of the night was undoubtably the winning of the Gold Award for Best Integrated Marketing Campaign with the launch of www.prestigeexperience.co.uk. Complimented by an interactive "haunted" on-line marketing/DM campaign, the portal's launch proved an enormous success, and the accompanying campaign drew attention to the unique values and personalities of the venue in the Prestige portfolio.
